Ten killed in helicopter crash
Wed, 11/14/2012 - 17:03
A helicopter carrying victims of a car accident crashed on its way to Mashhad, killing all 10 people on board.
Iranian media report that the crash took place on Wednesday morning and was caused by foggy weather.
The head of Emergency Operations announced that five victims were being carried in the helicopter. He explained: “Bad weather forced the pilot to fly low and it collided with high-voltage power lines and crashed.”
Eight people were pronounced dead at the scene and two others succumbed to their wounds in hospital.
