More medals for Iranian Paralympic athletes
Iran has so far won three gold medals and one bronze in the 14th Paralympic Games in London and is now ranked 13th.
On Saturday, Nader Moradi won the gold medal in weightlifting, raising 196 kg, and later that night Mohsen Kaedi nabbed another gold medal for Iran in athletics in the Men’s Javelin throw.
Earlier, Jalil Bagheri had won the gold medal in men’s shot put with a throw of 11 metres and 63 centimetres.
The first medal for the Iranian caravan was won on Friday by Sareh Javanmardi, who earned bronze in the ten metre air pistol shooting event.
Iran is now ranked 13th on the Paralympics medal chart and only trails China among the Asian countries.
The Paralympics games in London kicked off on August 29, and Iran is fielding 79 athletes who will compete in 13 disciplines.
