Jailed journalist Khosro Kordpour, director of the Mokerian News Agency in Kurdistan, has been on hunger strike for 11 days at the Intelligence Ministry’s Oroumiyeh Detention Centre as a protest against his undetermined state in custody.

Kurdistan Media quoted Kamal Hosseini, of the Mokerian News Agency staff, saying the arrest warrants for Khosro Kordpour and his brother Massoud have been renewed a second time.

The two human rights activists have been under arrest since March of 2013 with no official charges laid against them.

The two have also been denied visits with their defence lawyer, Hosseini reports. Applications for release on bail have also been declined.

The two brothers have been allowed one visit with family and are reportedly in poor health.
